Today was a full day of hiking though beautiful mountains. We walked a half circle around Mt Jefferson. It involved going up and down many 1000s of feet--a real workout. We walked by many lakes. Some were 1000s of feet below us, with a cliff-like drop to the lake. We also walked near a few glaciers. As far a trails go, this was probably the best we have seen except for Crater Lake.

We got up at 6:45 and were hiking by 7:00. We hiked untill 6:30 pm with only a few short breaks and an hour off for lunch. I am prettty tiired.

Besides hiking, one thing that marked the day the the competition between Ken and Wes. Ken fustrated Wes because he won ever game that Wes could invert. For example, at lunch, they played with rocks, to see who could throw the most accurate. Ken won. Then they wantted to see who could throw farther. Ken wow again. Later they tried juggling. Ken wow.

Its been a great day. Its cold out, but I am in my warm sleeping bay, very satisfied.
