Well, another great day on the trail. Actually it was a great day next to the trail. You see, it rained last night, and all morning. So we stayed in our tent, in our cozy sleeping bags. When I finally had to get up to pee it was 10:00 am, and still raining, and cold. So back into the sleeping bag I went. I played Wes a few games of gin and took a nap while it rained. Finally, once we awoke and noticed that we didn't hear constant rain it was already 4:00 pm! We talked about putting a few miles in, but it didn't seem like we could improve our lot before dinner, and it was cold and windy, so we decided to stay put in our nice cozy sleeping bags, and take a full zero day.

What a restful day. Almost forced to stay lying down. My food bag was in arms length so I had breakfest and lunch in bed. By dinner time, it was dry outside so we cooked hot dinners.

The only mildly bad thing that happened was that a puddle of water formed in the tent right under Wesley's feet, so he soaked his bag and had cold feet all day... He seems to be always unlucky.

This zero day puts a crimp in our plans. You see, we planed for siix or seven days of food to reach our next resupply box. We started with 5 worth of food. Along the way we were going to stop at a resort and eat in a restrunt for one dinner, and buy another to carry if it looked like we would need it. We heard from other hikers that the resort is closed. If that is true, then we are now short 3 days of food. It will be fun to see what happenes.
