Young Lovers (to be) at Sunset in Dusy Basin.
Day 13 of JMT Revisited (July 5, 2004)
We spent another day resting, to be with the resuppy group. I was in my sleeping bag when Jon unzipped my tent to say goodbye. I convinced him to stay until we could get pictures. He left before breakfast, with a big smile on his face. (He left early because he needs to start school tomorrow.) He gave us all a heart-felt handshake. John Hapgood left a little while later. I spent a lot of my time talking to Greg. Then doing laundry. My clothes were impossible to clean! Bugs were very bad all day.
For breakfast we had lots of bacon – too much – I have been feeling sick all day.
I called Carol, left a message. It was hot. We laid around most of the day. My socks finally dried. From about 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, it looked like rain. Brianna caught a fish. Dinner was not very good – but I helped cook the fish – and Brianna ate most of it.
I am hungry right now. Been eating bits and pieces of stuff all night. Talked a long time with Greg. Found out lots about his family. One of his brothers passed away this year, and his dad is very ill. Also, his wife is an amazing athlete as well as a Godly person.
I played gin with Wes, and won both games. It has been a great day, no rain (yet), but the bugs were terrible.
