Here is our group, all but Ken who is taking the picture. Ken is starting to get very sick at this point. He won't have anything to eat for the next 36 hours, yet he will hike about 30 miles, with a climb of 3000' or more. It is probably a good thing he didn't know what was ahead or he might have quit.

We quit hiking early this day because none of us felt very good after doing Half Dome. Ken was especially sick. This picture shows us laying around after dinner. There is a bear lurking in the forest behind us that you can see if you zoom in. At the time this was taken we were unaware that a bear was upon us.
